The above men have spent many hours and worked their way through the Department ranks to become Chief of the Department but there are many others who have spent countless hours in all kinds of weather day and night to serve and protect the lives and property of the people of the Gouverneur area with the only reward being consciousness of work well done.

Without these people the Gouverneur Fire Department could not have remained and grew stronger as one of the oldest and continuous organizations in our community.
