Gouverneur Celebrates Milestone Anniversaries - May 16, 2026

On May 16, 2026, as part of the Gouverneur Chamber's observance of the 2026 local businesses and anniversaries, Gouverneur Morris (the 6'5" stand-up) visited the Museum to provide a photo op for visitors to the event. The Garden Club handed out free posies, and next door, at the Gouverneur First Presbyterian Church, visitors were treated to an Art Show by local artists. The village park was bustling  with our local businesses celebrating theirs and other's Milestone Anniversaries.

The slides are just some of the photos taken by Historical Association Board member, Lea Dickson.

Here's Gouvie, posing with the Historical Association's banner, marking our namesake's contribution to the United States Constitution; he wrote the Preamble (We the People).
