In observance of the Bicentennial, the Gouverneur Morris Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution assembled a Gouverneur "Memory Book" which included 15 sketches of local scenes by area artists. The project was a 1976 fundraiser with proceeds benefiting the Gouverneur Museum. Preparation of the Memory Book was under the direction of Mrs.Emily Seaker, regent of the DAR, and Mrs. Mariann Johnson.
